Faith is bolstered by prayer because God works faith into us. We will be frail in other parts of our life but when God works His ability into you, that divine element cannot sin. That’s why John teaches us that he that is born of the word cannot sin, because HIS SEED REMAINS in him.
Anything we plan to do or say that isn’t based from the Word or the Express Voice of the Presence of God, will fail. Failure is not the lack of success or not getting our desired outcome, failure is not getting His Desired Intention in alignment with what now becomes our outcome. Every believer that wants something or goes through a challenge must ask themselves: “What Has God said or is saying about my situation?” Often we don’t have the tools for fighting because we don’t have what He’s saying about it. We must contend for Him & what He has to say refusing to live life on autopilot. His words & presence preserve us & give life. Outside of those, we will only contend with death & frustration.
Can we truly be sure of our next steps in this life? Sure! Let God order those steps, let Him lead you in the paths of righteousness, let His Word(s) be a lamp to your feet & a light to your path. Don’t settle for random ideas, contend for what His idea is. His idea may not seem ideal in your situation, but trust His Way will lead you to true fulfilment. Often, we end up leaning on our own understanding without truly acknowledging Him. But He promises to direct your path. Are we willing to tap into His promise of direction?
Sometimes, you might feel that God isn’t showing concern for your life as it is. But, if you have experienced any dimension of walking with God, you’d know that God is more concerned, wants to drag your life on His path but is unable to because we get in His way. When you abandon your path for His, you’d realise a speed you’re unfamiliar to, sometimes an uncertain randomness & can seem like an unprepared turn of events. But the will of God is not always known, it is proved (tested, Romans 12:2). When our course is His pattern, we will have evidence to prove that truly this has been the organised and purposed will of God for us in this season.
All things working together for our good? Yes, the good & the bad, but not for everyone. It works together for those who love Him & are called according to His purpose. Our love for Him must only be rooted in His unfailing Love for Us. Whilst His eternal calling on us should assure us that He hasn’t changed His mind about Us. Thus, times of testing & trial may come, but, it is when we remain grounded and unmovable always abounding in His Work for us, knowing that all of it will never be in vain that we begin to see the fruits of what He has also worked in Us.
The expression of God’s will is like bearing fruit. A seed (God’s vision for us, His Word) is planted, then it is obscure below the soil. Soil is often representative of the Human Consciousness (our collative experience of life). The reaction to God’s seed depends on the state of that inner consciousness. God puts the responsibility of soil maintenance on us to make it receptive to His Seeds. Adam’s first job was a tiller of the ground. So we owe a duty to ourselves to maintain our inner consciousness primed for His seeds. So guard your hearts diligently for out of it flows life’s issues.
The state of our inner consciousness reflects our motivation: thus a thorny ground means we have become concerned about the cares of this world & the deceitful trust of riches. When we become anxious, it implies we are not depending on Him, we haven’t cast our care on Him. The solution is to stand in the place of prayer, in humility handing over the thorns and weeds that inadvertently hold us back from receiving of His True Riches laced in His Seed. Sometimes, we may have to let go of riches we have put our trust in so that our Hearts can truly learn to be dependent on Him. It’s time to weed out thoughts that have choked God’s vision in our hearts.
When our soil is by the wayside, it means our inner consciousness is rid of understanding. The reason understanding is very important is it is the inner consciousness’ ability to receive God’s seed. Where the heart has become blinded, veiled, the fowls of the air (enemy) come to steal. The principal task of the enemy is to keep as many people blinded from seeing God’s vision. We must know that when we walk in rebellion, we enforce the princes at work in the children of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2) to keep us blinded. The key to understanding is a truly open face turned to Jesus in submission. When we turn, the veil is taken away so we can truly see, perceive & understand.
Also, the stony ground is that which represents a heart that lacks real endurance. Jesus shows us that He receives God’s vision with joy but as soon as a season of testing arises (which will because receiving God’s seeds will be accompanied with tests). Stony ground implies a lack of moisture within. The test is likened to the rising sun. The sun is present to provide warmth & light for the planted seed to aid proper germination & later for photosynthesis. So tests aren’t bad, they are present to help us truly evolve God’s vision in our hearts. Thus, we must continue to break the hardened fallow ground & allow the rain of teaching to moisten our hearts.
So finally, Jesus teaches us about the good soil bringing forth abundance: 30-60-100 folds. When our heart & inner consciousness is like the good soil, it reflects in abundance & fruitfulness. When we truly have inner contentment, we are not pierced with the sorrows that come from the love of money & love of the world. We do not abort God’s words & vision, we are formidabble in times of testing and truly understand what we have received resulting in fruitfulness.
